Work Environment\n

This role is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of educators, therapists, and mental health professionals. While the majority of interactions occur online, occasional in-person team meetings may enhance collaboration and camaraderie within the team. Our operating hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with possibilities for evening shifts, rotating weekends, and on-call hours as needed to support our students effectively.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for students presenting with a range of special needs, identifying individualized strengths and challenges.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on mental health and emotional well-being, as well as strategies for successful integration into school activities.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to conditions such as autism, learning disabilities, and trauma, utilizing varied approaches to meet each student’s needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to foster personal growth, encouraging emotional regulation and the development of coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate seamlessly with educational staff, including teachers and specialists, to provide cohesive support that integrates mental health care into academic settings.

• Engage in crisis intervention efforts, offering immediate support during mental health emergencies and collaborating with emergency services as needed.

• Deliver psychoeducation on mental health issues to students and their families, promoting awareness and understanding of available resources.

• Maintain diligent documentation that meets legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development opportunities, contributing to a culture of continuous learning.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will directly support students with various mental health needs, particularly those with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and histories of trauma. This diverse client population requires a versatile and adaptive approach, emphasizing the importance of understanding unique backgrounds and experiences in crafting effective interventions.

Qualifications\n

• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Valid LCSW licensure in Georgia.

• Expertise in mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and trauma-informed practices.

• Strong skills in conducting assessments, diagnosing conditions, and crafting treatment plans grounded in evidence-based practices.

• Experience providing therapy in both individual and group settings with a variety of therapeutic approaches.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates who demonstrate a deep understanding and passion for mental health within educational settings may be considered. Experience with students in a special education environment will be highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits\n
