Key Responsibilities\n

Your day-to-day responsibilities will play a critical role in the lives of students with special needs. Key tasks include:

• Conducting thorough mental health assessments to identify and understand the unique needs of each student.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that prioritize emotional well-being and academic integration.

• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to conditions such as ASD, ADHD, and trauma, utilizing an array of therapeutic modalities.

• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions aimed at enhancing personal growth, emotional regulation, and coping strategies among students.

• Collaborating actively with educators, occupational therapists, and other professionals to create a coordinated approach to each student’s care.

• Delivering crisis intervention and support during emergency situations, helping students navigate their emotional challenges.

• Educating students and their families about mental health issues, available resources, and coping techniques.

• Maintaining detailed and accurate documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards, fostering transparency and accountability in care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on providing mental health services to students enrolled in our Special Education Program, who often exhibit challenges related to autism spectrum disorders, attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorders, and various emotional and behavioral disorders. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating their complexities and ensuring they receive tailored care to thrive academically and socially.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid LCSW licensure in the state of Georgia.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
