Experienced Nurse Practitioner for Educational Healthcare Setting

Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dedicated team at Wellness Partner Healthcare Services, LLC, located in Valley Stream, New York. You will be working onsite within a modern educational facility, collaborating closely with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to foster a supportive healthcare atmosphere. Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients’ health statuses, diagnose health issues, and develop appropriate treatment plans in collaboration with the educational staff.
• Facilitate referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for students.
• Actively communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care, ensuring a cohesive approach to treatment as needed.
• Provide education and guidance to clinical staff on best practices in student health management.
• Coordinate and facilitate care continuity for patients, managing follow-ups and health screenings.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems.
• Support the development and implementation of health promotion programs within the school community.
• Utilize empathy and cultural competency to build strong rapport with students and their families, addressing their unique concerns.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on the healthcare needs of children and adolescents in a school setting. You will be responsible for monitoring common student health issues, conducting physical assessments, and providing health education tailored to this youthful demographic. Utilizing evidence-based practices, you will address challenges such as chronic conditions, acute illnesses, and behavioral health issues, ensuring that each student receives personalized care aligned with their developmental stage.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or completion of a Nurse Practitioner Certificate Program.
• National certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
• An active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York.
• U.S. work authorization required.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to a flexible work environment and schedule.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with children in a healthcare or educational setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems to streamline patient care documentation.
• Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, showcasing strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey health information to students, parents, and staff.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary within the range of USD 150,000 to 160,000 per year, adjusted according to experience and responsibilities.
