Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' mental health needs, trauma history, and develop individualized treatment approaches.

• Design and implement tailored treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, focusing on evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to process their trauma, build coping strategies, and promote healing.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated and integrated care for patients, ensuring continuity in their mental health support.

• Respond promptly to crisis situations, offering emergency support during trauma-related events and helping clients access appropriate resources.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and community resources to empower them on their healing journeys.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate actively in weekly case consultations and team meetings, sharing insights and learning from colleagues to enhance trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually improve your therapeutic approach and enhance client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will primarily work with individuals who have experienced trauma, providing invaluable support to those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our clients often come from diverse backgrounds and may require sensitivity and adaptability in treatment approaches. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, showcasing a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach.

• Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant technology for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferably with a focus on trauma-informed care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
