Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, individualized assessment and treatment for patients attending our orthopedic outpatient clinics.
• Utilize various electronic medical record (EMR) systems, adapting to different workflows and clinical protocols with ease.
• Fill in for staff physical therapists during vacations and leaves of absence, as well as during busy periods, ensuring patients receive continuous care.
• Work closely with referring physicians, clinic directors, and interdisciplinary teams to establish effective treatment plans and ensure continuity of care.
• Participate actively in system-wide meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education sessions to stay updated with industry best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The physical therapist in this role will primarily serve a diverse patient population, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You'll have the opportunity to implement patient-centered care strategies and utilize evidence-based methodologies to achieve optimal recovery outcomes. Your engagement with patients will not only help them regain function and mobility but will also empower them in their journey towards improved health.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current Nevada license or eligibility for licensure to practice as a physical therapist.
• Demonstrated strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new environments.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing for effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Willingness to travel between clinic locations in the Las Vegas area as needed.
• A commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based patient care.
• Experience in orthopedic or sports therapy is highly desirable.
• Participation in ongoing professional development and interest in obtaining specialty certifications such as Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS).

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in outpatient physical therapy settings, preferably in orthopedics.
• Familiarity with multiple electronic medical records (EMR) systems, enhancing efficiency and coordination of care.
• Background in providing patient education and counseling to motivate clients in their rehabilitation.
