Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, with the focus being on home care services. This unique setting allows for a more personalized approach to therapy, as you will be providing treatments in the comfort of patients' homes. You will be part of a supportive team that comprises two skilled physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), fostering a collaborative atmosphere where best practices and learning are encouraged.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed evaluations to assess patients' physical capabilities, limitations, and rehabilitation goals, ensuring individualized treatment plans are created.
• Administer effective interventions and therapeutic techniques designed to improve patients' range of motion, strength, and functional abilities.
• Manage a caseload that allows for in-depth, one-on-one patient interactions, conducting sessions that last approximately one hour each.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols aimed at improving patient outcomes while minimizing reliance on medications and surgical interventions.
• Document all patient care activities, progress, and treatment outcomes accurately and promptly using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT.
• Develop and execute tailored fitness and wellness programs that address specific patient needs and promote long-term health benefits.
• Communicate regularly with other healthcare professionals involved in patient care to facilitate a multidisciplinary approach and enhance treatment efficacy.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive and empowering treatment environment.
• Monitor and evaluate the outcomes of therapy effectively, making necessary adaptations to treatment plans based on progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on orthopedic patients recovering from various musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. You will be working closely with individuals who may have undergone surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic pain issues. Your ability to connect with patients, understand their unique challenges, and adjust treatment strategies accordingly will be crucial in achieving optimal recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT/DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• An exemplary professional record with no disciplinary actions taken against your license.
• Profound knowledge and proficiency in manual therapy techniques that enhance patient recovery.
• Strong competence in developing and executing exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
• Experience with EMR software, particularly WebPT, to ensure streamlined record-keeping and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working within an orthopedic outpatient setting, preferably with exposure to home care services.
• Demonstrated ability to create and implement personalized care plans that yield effective patient outcomes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster rapport with patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $95,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
