Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed assessments to explore the severity, duration, and impact of mood disorder symptoms in clients, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their mental health.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate their individual goals, preferences, and tailored strategies for their unique situations.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate positive change and support clients through their challenges.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, discussing treatment options and self-care techniques that foster long-term wellness.

• Monitor client progress continuously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on feedback and evolving needs to optimize outcomes.

• Work alongside psychiatrists and other medical providers to ensure comprehensive care, discussing treatment efficacy and psychotropic medication effects.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to enhance clinical skills and contribute to collaborative learning.

• Advocate for clients’ needs within the mental health system, working to reduce the stigma associated with mood disorders through community outreach and education initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse population of individuals struggling with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related issues. Clients may range from adolescents to adults, all requiring compassion, understanding, and professional support to navigate their mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.

• Commitment to delivering empathetic, competent care to individuals experiencing mood disorders.

• Strong communication skills necessary to establish rapport and foster trust with clients.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience focusing on mood disorders.
