Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans designed to prevent disability, alleviate pain, and restore muscle function, aligning with clients' specific needs and objectives.
• Oversee the activities of physical therapy assistants, ensuring that the planned care is executed effectively and adheres to established protocols.
• Utilize a variety of diagnostic tests to evaluate clients' levels of functionality, including assessments of muscles, nerves, and joints.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' home environments, providing tailored recommendations to enhance independence and safety.
• Deliver prescribed physical therapy services in a hands-on manner, including but not limited to therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and the application of physical agents such as traction or massage.
• Evaluate and fit clients with prosthetic and orthotic devices as needed, making modifications in consultation with healthcare providers.
• Regularly document clinical records, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Engage actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing to comprehensive treatment planning and case evaluations.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and their families to provide education about therapy programs and device usage.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at High Energy Body & Home Care, you will work primarily with a diverse patient population comprising individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic illnesses, and those seeking to enhance their physical capabilities. Our clients may vary in age and health conditions, requiring a tailored approach to rehabilitation that emphasizes dignity and individualized care throughout their healing journey.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program with a Bachelor's or higher-level degree in Physical Therapy.
• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist, with compliance to all regulatory standards.
• At least one year of relevant experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably within acute care or home care.
• Current CPR certification.
• Excellent communication skills, demonstrating an ability to connect with patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patients and documentation efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is highly regarded.
