Work Environment

This is a full-time, onsite position in a dynamic rehabilitation facility. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at alleviating pain, enhancing mobility, and restoring function in alignment with established care plans.
• Conduct detailed evaluations of clients' physical capabilities using diagnostics, therapeutic exercises, and modalities tailored to their unique needs.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to monitor progress and adapt treatment plans based on evolving patient needs.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring high standards of care and providing guidance on treatment methods and patient handling.
• Engage in regular assessments of the rehabilitation environment for safety and adaptability, making recommendations to optimize patient independence.
• Document all clinical evaluations and treatments accurately, including discharge summaries and care plans, while remaining compliant with regulatory standards.
• Provide education to clients and their families regarding therapy procedures, exercises, and equipment used in treatment.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and strategy sessions to develop the best comprehensive care plans for clients.
• Maintain open communication with other team members and contribute to a positive healthcare environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of patients who require rehabilitation services due to various conditions, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain management. Our client-focused approach ensures that therapy is personalized and sensitive to each patient's circumstances and goals, contributing to improved recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida, free of sanctions or disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in assessing and treating a wide variety of physical disabilities.
• A thorough understanding of manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription.
• Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, especially Web PT, for efficient documentation practice.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a rehabilitation facility is an asset, especially in a supervisory or mentoring capacity.
• Familiarity with developing and implementing community outreach programs is a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple client cases simultaneously while maintaining high quality of care.

Compensation and Benefits

The Guthrie Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
