Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial mental health assessments for students, ensuring that each assessment captures individual needs and concerns.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that address mental health issues, emotional well-being, and successful school integration.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions in both individual and group therapy settings, utilizing techniques appropriate for various disorders.

• Facilitate therapy sessions that focus on personal growth, emotional regulation, and coping strategies.
\n
• Coordinate with educators and other specialists, such as speech and occupational therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to each student’s care.

• Provide crisis intervention for students facing mental health emergencies, ensuring safety and immediate stabilization.

• Educate families and students about mental health resources and conditions, fostering a supportive home environment.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Contribute to team meetings and case conferences aimed at enhancing collective strategies for student support.

• Stay informed about evolving laws and ethical considerations impacting mental health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with students exhibiting symptoms related to autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and the effects of trauma. Your role is crucial in promoting emotional well-being and resilience among students, thereby enhancing their educational experience and personal development.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited university.

• Current LCSW licensure in the state of Georgia.
\n
• A profound understanding of mental health disorders and treatment modalities.
\n
• Experience and proficiency in conducting thorough mental health assessments.

• Strong skills in therapy delivery, including both individual and group therapeutic techniques.

• Ability to remain composed and effective during crisis situations and demonstrate strong crisis intervention skills.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to foster trust with students and families.
\n
• Competency with electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain confidential and operational documentation.

• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

Candidates with a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a similar role will be given preference. Experience specifically in educational settings or with children and adolescents facing mental health challenges will be particularly valuable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
