Key Responsibilities\n

As an LCPC at Navigate Family & Youth Therapy Services, you will engage in a variety of therapeutic activities, including but not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' trauma backgrounds thoroughly.

• Developing and implementing tailored treatment plans that aim to promote trauma recovery and resilience.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
\n
• Delivering both individual and group therapy sessions to guide clients through their healing processes and teach coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure holistic and integrated patient care.
\n
• Providing crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating your ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in high-pressure situations.

• Educating clients and their families on trauma responses and available coping resources, empowering them with knowledge and tools for recovery.

• Maintaining precise and confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards, maintaining our reputation for quality care.

• Engaging in case consultations, attending team meetings, and participating in professional development focused on trauma-informed care practices.

• Staying updated on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to further enhance your therapeutic skills and knowledge base.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your focus will be on serving an engaging patient population that includes individuals grappling with various trauma-related disorders. You will work with children, adolescents, and their families, tailoring interventions to meet diverse needs and ensuring that each client feels heard, supported, and empowered to progress on their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCPC in the state of Illinois.
\n
• Understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to build strong connections with clients.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications relevant to clinical practice.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following experiences would be advantageous:

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Your expertise and commitment to fostering healing will be rewarded with a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience. We also offer a range of benefits including:
