Work Environment\n

This position is full-time and offers the flexibility of remote work combined with the opportunity to conduct face-to-face sessions at our outpatient facility located in Haltom City, Texas. Our operational hours span from 7 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week, allowing for a schedule that can accommodate your personal commitments while ensuring that we meet our clients’ needs at various times throughout the week. Our supportive administrative team assists with scheduling and client services, giving you the autonomy to focus on patient care.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Banyan Recovery, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ trauma histories and develop appropriate tailored treatment approaches.

• Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans centered on trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Delivering both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on trauma processing, coping strategies, and personal growth.
\n
• Collaborating with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated care plans for clients.
\n
• Providing crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients feel supported in their most vulnerable moments.
\n
• Educating clients and their families on trauma responses and fostering coping skills while directing them toward available resources.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical guidelines and legal standards.
\n
• Participating in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and enhance trauma-informed care practices.

• Staying informed about the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to ensure best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals dealing with a variety of trauma-related disorders. Your clients will range from adults to adolescents, each presenting unique challenges influenced by their traumatic experiences. Your ability to connect and empathize with clients is crucial in providing the supportive environment they need to heal.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must hold:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated through a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client interactions.

• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and general computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field is preferred, we value a strong foundation in trauma-informed care practices and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Experience with couples therapy is also desirable, and training will be provided for those who may need it.
