Key Responsibilities

• Compile and maintain accurate, current, and legible patient records using approved documentation formats. This includes comprehensive records of assessments, care plans, interventions, and case closures in accordance with professional standards.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the DSM diagnostic criteria, particularly as it relates to children and adolescents, and apply this expertise to the assessment and treatment process.
• Utilize behavioral modification techniques and supportive therapy while modeling appropriate boundaries to foster trusting relationships with clients.
• Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to gather crucial medical, social, and emotional history, collaborating closely with healthcare teams and referring to relevant documentation.
• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans based on ongoing psychosocial evaluations that consider clients' strengths, needs, and values.
• Act as a liaison between the school, families, and community services, ensuring a cohesive support system is in place for each student.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with students from diverse backgrounds facing various challenges, including emotional disturbances, familial issues, and situational crises. Your focus on cultural competency and understanding individual developmental stages will be critical in delivering effective interventions.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• An active California Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ensuring effective interaction with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• The ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries while supporting our clients’ mental health journeys.
• Strong time management skills and proficiency in completing and submitting necessary documentation promptly.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in school-based mental health services or community health settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities tailored to children and adolescents.
• Background in crisis intervention and conflict resolution techniques.
• Proficiency with relevant software tools for documentation and record-keeping.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and caseload.
