Work Environment

This full-time position involves working onsite in various home settings, allowing our Physical Therapist to deliver personalized care directly in the patient's environment. The role typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional adjustments to accommodate specific patient needs or clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical conditions, including strength, mobility, and areas of pain.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing patients' mobility, strength, and overall functional performance.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and functional activities, ensuring proper technique and safety.
• Educate patients and their families on effective home exercise programs, body mechanics, and strategies to manage their conditions.
• Administer various therapeutic modalities, such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound, to facilitate recovery.
• Monitor and document patient progress accurately, including improvements in range of motion and functional abilities.
• Coordinate with a diverse interdisciplinary team, which may include Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to create cohesive and effective treatment strategies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that treatment areas and equipment are prepared and functional for patient sessions.
• Provide emotional support and motivation to patients, promoting a positive mindset throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Adhere to best practices in patient confidentiality and ethical care, ensuring compliance with professional standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Physical Therapist works primarily with a diverse range of patients requiring home care rehabilitation. This includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, those with neurological conditions, elderly patients needing geriatric rehabilitation, and athletes seeking sports recovery. Each patient's unique needs and challenges are addressed through customized care plans, encouraging a holistic approach to recovery.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida is required.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of one year of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in a home health setting.

Compensation and Benefits
