Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your role will include:

• Managing a caseload of clients, establishing rapport, and maintaining professional boundaries throughout the therapeutic process.

• Conducting regular sessions to assess progress, discussing goals, and determining readiness for discharge when appropriate.
\n
• Developing, implementing, and regularly monitoring person-centered treatment plans tailored to the needs of individual clients.
\n
• Documenting each interaction through comprehensive progress notes and maintaining up-to-date records in compliance with organizational standards.
\n
• Performing initial intake assessments to identify client needs and develop appropriate treatment strategies.
\n
• Providing a minimum of individual therapy sessions weekly, utilizing evidence-based practices to engage clients effectively.
\n
• Participating in individual supervision sessions that promote professional growth and reflective practice.
\n
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your main focus will be on youth mental health, working with clients ranging from adolescents to young adults who may be experiencing various challenges, including anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues. You will aim to create a safe and trusting environment that encourages open communication and healing. By tailoring your therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs of each youth client, you will play a vital role in their journey towards improved mental health.

Qualifications\n

The minimum qualifications for this role include:

• A Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.

• Ability to meet organizational requirements for internal credentialing in clinical settings.

Preferred Experience\n

Preferred candidates will have:

• At least one year of experience working with psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse populations.

• Demonstrated proficiency in assessment, diagnosis, and both individual and group therapy settings.

• Experience utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems along with competency in basic computer skills.

Compensation and Benefits\n
