Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth assessments of clients to identify the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their individual goals and preferences, ensuring a client-centered approach.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to effectively treat mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, outlining treatment options and promoting self-care strategies.

• Track and monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Clinical Mental Health Therapist at Hackensack Health System, you will work with a diverse clientele from various backgrounds, including individuals struggling with mood disorders like depression, anxiety, and more. Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possess current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
\n
• Two years of post-licensure experience with a focus on treating mood disorders.
\n
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities such as CBT and DBT.

• Strong comprehension of psychopharmacology, facilitating effective collaboration with psychiatrists and other medical staff.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to establish rapport with clients across diverse demographics.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years in the mental health field is required, candidates with additional experience in managing complex mood disorders will be favored. A proven track record of achieving positive treatment outcomes is highly desired.
