Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Prairie Lakes PT Services LLC, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Directing and administering physical therapy treatments aimed at injury recovery, pain relief, and functional improvement according to established care plans.
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities using diagnostic tests to determine appropriate therapy regimes.
• Overseeing and mentoring Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure high standards in the execution of therapy plans.
• Engaging with patients to teach therapeutic exercises and guiding them through various functional activities to enhance mobility.
• Administering therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, traction, and the use of modalities for pain management.
• Participating in the continuous development and revision of care plans based on observed patient progress and input from multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Documenting all clinical interactions meticulously and preparing comprehensive reports that detail patient responses to therapy.
• Providing consultations to patients and their families about care protocols and equipment usage.
• Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations related to physical therapy practices and documentation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse patient population requiring orthopedic care, including those recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, or seeking rehabilitation for musculoskeletal injuries. By understanding the specific needs and conditions of your patients, you will develop individualized treatment plans that promote healing and enhance functional independence.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Current and valid PT licensure in good standing in the state of Florida.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
• Demonstrated commitment to high-quality patient care and the principles of integrity in clinical practice.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

• Minimum of one year experience as a physical therapist, preferably in acute care or home healthcare settings.
• Experience in utilizing electronic medical records and healthcare documentation systems.
• Proficiency in developing innovative rehabilitation approaches tailored to diverse patient populations.

Compensation and Benefits
