Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time

Position Overview

Emerald Valley PT is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our outpatient orthopedic clinic located in the vibrant community of West Palm Beach, Florida. In this full-time role, you will play a critical part in the rehabilitation of patients suffering from musculoskeletal disorders, utilizing your expertise to assess, diagnose, and implement tailored treatment strategies that enhance mobility and alleviate pain.

Work Environment

Our outpatient clinic offers a welcoming and supportive environment dedicated to optimizing patient recovery. The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you a balanced work-life experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations of patients to understand their specific needs, medical history, and functional limitations.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that align with patients' goals, employing a variety of methods including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modern modalities.
• Implement evidence-based interventions while continuously assessing treatment effectiveness and making necessary adjustments to optimize patient outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with referring physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment processes, home exercise programs, and preventive strategies that promote long-term health benefits.
• Document patient progress meticulously in electronic health records (EHR), maintaining compliance with clinic standards and regulations.
• Contribute to team meetings and quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing service delivery and patient satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with a diverse patient population that includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your ability to build rapport with patients, tailored to their unique challenges and aspirations, will be vital in fostering trust and motivation throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida is required.
• Educational background should include a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Master's in Physical Therapy (MPT) from an accredited program.
• Strong foundational knowledge of therapeutic techniques, rehabilitation protocols, and patient assessment strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficiency in using EHR systems is a strong asset, enhancing patient record management and documentation efficiency.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred; however, new graduates with a strong passion for orthopedic therapy are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with a variety of treatment modalities, including but not limited to dry needling, therapeutic ultrasound, and Kinesio taping, is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with employer matching, and paid time off (PTO) for holidays and vacations.
