Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to accurately evaluate patients' trauma history and establish appropriate treatment methodologies.

• Develop, implement, and oversee individualized treatment plans that highlight trauma recovery, emphasizing resilience-building and empowerment.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in therapy sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding clients through trauma processing while establishing effective coping mechanisms.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure holistic and integrated care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during urgent trauma-related situations, ensuring immediate stability for clients.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and coping strategies, equipping them with necessary tools for self-management.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on serving individuals who have endured various forms of trauma, including both acute and chronic experiences. You will work closely with a diverse client population that may include survivors of abuse, neglect, significant loss, and other distressing life events. Qualifications\n

• Required Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current, valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience, particularly in trauma-focused therapy practices.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to patient interactions.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems along with strong computer literacy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
