Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide trauma-informed counseling services for individuals, couples, and families, utilizing evidence-based practices and compassion-centered techniques.

• Integrate Christian counseling principles into therapy sessions, creating a supportive atmosphere for clients who seek a faith-oriented approach.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that align with clients' specific needs and goals, continually assessing progress and adapting strategies as necessary.

• Serve a diverse client base referred from local churches, ensuring services are accessible to those in need.

• Engage in community outreach and networking initiatives to expand your caseload and create new referral opportunities.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals, including social workers and other therapists, to coordinate comprehensive care and facilitate holistic healing for clients.

• Maintain up-to-date client records and enter progress notes into our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system in a timely manner to ensure continuity of care.

• Communicate effectively with the center director regarding scheduling needs, availability, and client progress to optimize service delivery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field is required.

• Possession of an independently licensed professional counseling credential in Washington, D.C. (i.e., LPC, LMFT, LCSW). Candidates who are under supervision or nearing completion of requirements will also be considered.

• Strong understanding of Biblical counseling techniques and the ability to apply them in therapy.
\n
• Demonstrated competence in trauma-informed care and various therapeutic modalities.
\n
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate collaboration and support client relationships.

• The ability to work empathetically and effectively with diverse populations across all age groups.
\n
• Commitment to confidentiality, ethical guidelines, and a compassionate approach in all interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of one year of experience in trauma counseling is preferred.

• Dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland is highly desirable.
\n
• Familiarity with EMDR training; candidates should be willing to complete EMDR basic training within three months of hiring.
