Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial mental health assessments and document comprehensive case histories from the first consultation through the conclusion of treatment.

• Evaluate clients' psychological, emotional, and behavioral health using evidence-based methodologies.
\n
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans and intervention strategies for a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate therapeutic sessions, both individually and in group settings, utilizing techniques grounded in psychotherapy and counseling best practices.
\n
• Continuously monitor and assess client progress throughout the treatment journey, making adjustments to plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of healthcare practitioners, including other mental health specialists, physicians, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
\n
• Conduct follow-up consultations with psychiatrists and healthcare providers for clients who may require hospitalization or further medical interventions.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement preventative strategies to enhance treatment efficacy.
\n
• Provide education and support to family members and caregivers on how to manage their loved ones' behavioral and emotional challenges.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated previous experience in mental health counseling or psychotherapy.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for effective documentation and progress tracking.
\n
• Understanding of the interplay between mental health and physical health, including experience working with addiction disorders.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• In-depth knowledge of psychiatric medications and their effects, as prescribed by medical professionals.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, supplemented by strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, along with a sign-on bonus.
