Full-Time Physical Therapist - Rehabilitation Center

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at Amedisys Physical Therapy in Old Bridge, New Jersey. As a full-time member of our rehabilitation center, you will play a critical role in assessing, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs for patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, and various orthopedic conditions. Your expertise will directly contribute to enhancing patients' mobility and overall quality of life. The position comes with an annual salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000, commensurate with experience.

Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Amedisys, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to develop customized treatment plans aimed at addressing patients' functional limitations.
• Providing consultations to other healthcare providers and maintaining an effective continuum of care for patients.
• Implementing selected treatment modalities and continuously assessing progress to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educating patients and their families about therapeutic programs, outcomes, and home-exercise regimens to promote compliance and recovery.
• Documenting all aspects of patient care in compliance with applicable laws and regulations while submitting accurate billing for services provided.
• Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nursing staff, and occupational therapists, to enhance patient care strategies.
• Participating in community outreach programs to promote physical therapy services and organizational visibility.
• Mentoring and supervising assigned support staff, such as Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs), to ensure high-quality patient treatment protocols.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development through staff meetings, training, and continued education opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population consisting of adolescents to older adults recovering from various orthopedic issues, surgeries, and chronic conditions. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy and BLS certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, allowing for effective interactions with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) and other digital tools relevant to patient documentation and reporting.
• A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a supportive, rapport-building approach with patients of all backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

Preferred candidates will have:

• At least two years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist, ideally in a rehabilitation setting.
• Proven experience with a wide range of therapeutic modalities and treatment plans along with familiarity with current best practices in physical therapy.
• A proactive attitude towards continuous professional development and participation in multidisciplinary team discussions.
