Position Overview

Valleywise Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at our Rehabilitation Center in East Brunswick, New Jersey. Work Environment

This role will require you to work onsite at our Rehabilitation Center, providing a setting that fosters collaboration and professional growth. The center is equipped with the latest rehabilitation technologies and welcomes a diverse patient population. Working Monday through Friday, you will engage in a fully immersive experience that emphasizes both teamwork and individual contributions. Your work will not only take place within the clinic but may also involve in-home patient visits, ensuring comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to create tailored treatment programs for patients referred by physicians, ensuring all aspects of their physical health are addressed.
• Implement and monitor evidence-based therapeutic practices through the exploration of diverse specialties, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine.
• Demonstrate superior customer service, ensuring that each patient feels supported, respected, and understood throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes using research-driven methodologies that optimize care delivery.
• Provide skilled therapeutic interventions at both our facility and in the patient's home, adapting techniques as necessary to align with the physician's treatment plan.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, exercises, and lifestyle adjustments necessary for facilitating recovery.
• Meet and exceed established utilization goals, contributing to the overall success and operational efficiency of the center.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in New Jersey.
• Two (2) years of hands-on clinical experience providing physical therapy.
• Current certification in CPR.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, along with strong computer proficiency.
• A commitment to patient-centered care and the ability to build rapport quickly with patients.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for contributing positively to the lives of others and the local community.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience as a physical therapist is required, candidates with experience in specialized areas such as geriatrics, manual therapy, or sports medicine will be given preference, as this expertise can benefit our diversified patient demographic. A track record of participating in community outreach initiatives or local athletic events is also highly valued.
