The standard work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as necessary to accommodate the varying needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to determine their unique needs and challenges.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that account for developmental stages, family dynamics, and patient strengths.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family therapy, to support young patients and their families.
\n
• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers in fostering a supportive home environment for their children.
\n
• Work closely with our child psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to mental health care.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies that involve children and teens, ensuring quick and effective support.
\n
• Educate families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources that can aid recovery and wellness.
\n
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation in alignment with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
\n
• Engage in team meetings and case consultations to collaborate on treatment approaches and share insights.

• Stay updated on the latest evidence-based research and practices in child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically targets children and adolescents aged 6-18 experiencing mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other behavioral issues. You will engage with families to create a nurturing environment that fosters emotional growth and resilience, strategically addressing both developmental needs and familial influences on mental health. By forming strong therapeutic alliances with both the clients and their families, you contribute significantly to positive treatment outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCMFT, LCSW, LCP, LCPC, or LSCSW in the state of Kansas.

• Demonstrated understanding of child and adolescent mental health issues, including current evidence-based treatment techniques and therapeutic approaches.

• Experience in delivering both individual and family therapy to young populations.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, showcasing a compassionate and child-centered methodology.
\n
• Ability to foster rapport with children, adolescents, and their families, creating a trusting therapeutic environment.

• Competency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant software tools.
\n
• Strong collaborative skills, functioning effectively within a multidisciplinary team structure.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, candidates with extensive background in child and adolescent therapy, especially in outpatient settings, will be favored. Familiarity with community resources and knowledge of therapeutic techniques focused on diverse populations is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 104,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with potential performance-based bonuses.
