Healing Mind and Soul Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dedicated team in providing high-quality therapeutic services. In this full-time remote position, you will work closely with children with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges, delivering therapeutic interventions designed to promote mental health and social skills.

Work Environment\n

This role offers a flexible remote work environment, allowing therapists to conduct sessions from home or in the community. As part of a collaborative team, you will engage with other mental health professionals, educators, and caregivers to create a holistic support system for each child and family. You will also have the opportunity to participate in monthly team meetings, where insights and strategies for client care are shared.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individualized in-home therapy sessions or group therapy sessions in our outpatient center, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to the needs of each child.

• Implement strategies for anger management, coping skills, and social skills development, while actively working to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injury and physical aggression.
\n
• Assist youth and their caregivers in improving decision-making skills to address behavioral challenges at home.
\n
• Document all required client information including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with established timelines and professional standards.
\n
• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other multidisciplinary professionals involved in supporting the families.
\n
• Attend and participate in monthly meetings to discuss client progress, review treatment plans, and contribute recommendations for improving care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with children aged 3-20, focusing on those with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Your therapeutic approach will be essential in helping these children overcome barriers and improve their quality of life, while also providing guidance and support to their families.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related mental health field is required.
\n
• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with some flexibility on weekends being a plus.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for travel to client locations.
\n
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing positive behavior support and interventions tailored to children with developmental disabilities.
\n
• Prior experience working with children aged 3-20, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
