This full-time position involves providing critical therapeutic services to children and families facing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing therapists to deliver in-home or community-based therapy sessions. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will:

• Conduct individual therapy sessions in clients' homes or in an outpatient clinic setting, leveraging a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions designed to address common challenges faced by children and families in similar situations.
\n
• Implement specialized skills training focused on anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development.
\n
• Reduce high-risk behaviors (self-injurious behaviors, physical aggression) and assist families in managing home behavioral challenges through effective decision-making practices.

• Maintain detailed and timely documentation of therapy sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory requirements.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings and contribute to the collective insights aimed at enhancing service delivery and family support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and young adults aged 3 to 20, many of whom exhibit intellectual and developmental disabilities. By offering targeted therapeutic interventions, you will play a pivotal role in improving their social skills and overall emotional well-being. The diverse needs of our clients require a nuanced understanding of their unique challenges, and your contributions are crucial to fostering a supportive environment that aids in their development.

Qualifications\n

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or related fields.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
\n
• A commitment to work at least 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, ideally from 4-7 PM, with some weekend availability preferred.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for traveling to clients' homes.
\n
• Possession of a clean criminal record, including successful completion of a fingerprint background check.

Preferred Experience\n

Preferred candidates will have:

• Experience working with children and families facing intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD).

• A proven track record of providing positive behavior support and crisis intervention strategies.

Compensation and Benefits\n
