Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient's trauma history and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Design and implement individualized treatment strategies that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and personal empowerment.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a structured environment for patients to process their experiences and develop coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals to ensure integrated and coherent care for patients throughout their recovery journey.

• Respond to crises and provide immediate support during trauma-related emergencies that may arise.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and effective coping strategies, promoting understanding and support.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in line with legal standards, ensuring clarity and compliance in all record-keeping.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to enhance trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this position is on individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including survivors of abuse, neglect, or other adverse life events. Many of our patients may present with complex trauma—requiring specialized attention and care that respects the lived experiences of trauma survivors. Your role will be crucial in providing a therapeutic space for healing, understanding the unique nuances of trauma-related disorders, and fostering resilience in our clients.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts.

• Two years of post-licensure experience with a strong emphasis on trauma-focused therapy.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate and empathetic approach to therapy.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations while delivering effective care.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications for effective documentation and patient management.

• Capacity to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to an integrated approach to patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates who possess two years of relevant experience in trauma-focused therapies and intervention techniques. Familiarity with contemporary trauma theories and practices will be considered an asset, as will prior experience in outpatient therapy settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
