Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and document client cases from the first consultation through to the conclusion of treatment, ensuring accurate and complete records.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs, using structured methodologies and clinical insight to gather necessary information.
\n
• Formulate individualized intervention and recovery plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic techniques suited to the diverse backgrounds and challenges of clients.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document clients' progress in alignment with treatment objectives, adjusting plans as necessary to best support recovery.
\n
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective intervention strategies, ensuring a cohesive approach to client care.
\n
• Coordinate follow-up care with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients admitted to hospital settings, facilitating seamless transitions in care.
\n
• Proactively identify and address behaviors that may hinder recovery, providing support and education to clients and their families.
\n
• Assist family members and primary caregivers in managing associated mental and behavioral challenges, enhancing the support system for the client.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients include individuals of all ages seeking assistance with various mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. You will be expected to engage with each client with empathy and understanding, adapting your therapeutic approach to meet the distinct needs of each individual or group.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in a mental health counseling role or similar position, effectively managing a diverse client caseload.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR or similar platforms, ensuring efficient management of client information.

• Demonstrated understanding of comorbid physical and emotional health conditions, and their implications on treatment.
\n
• Awareness of the best practices endorsed by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth knowledge regarding the impact of psychotropic medications and collaboration with medical professionals for integrated care.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for client documentation and collaborative care facilitation.

• Demonstrated interpersonal skills, with a strong capacity to connect empathetically with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
