Work Environment\n

This position is remote and is conducted within a hospice center setting. You will engage with students and families primarily through virtual means, ensuring that mental health support is accessible and effective. Working hours are primarily Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with flexibility for occasional evening shifts and rotating weekends.

Key Responsibilities\n

Your role as an LCSW will encompass a variety of critical functions, including but not limited to:

• Conducting thorough and comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate students' needs and identify challenges.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting emotional well-being and successful integration into the school community.

• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to various mental health issues, including ASD, emotional disorders, and ADHD.

• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions that focus on emotional regulation, resilience, and constructive coping strategies.

• Collaborating with educators, therapists, and other professionals to provide coordinated care and optimize student success.

• Implementing crisis interventions and providing immediate support in mental health emergencies.

• Educating students and families on mental health conditions and available community resources for ongoing support.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participating in team meetings and case conferences to discuss student progress and ensure cohesive treatment plans.

• Staying informed about current laws, regulations, and best practices in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with students in special education who exhibit a range of mental health challenges. These include students diagnosed with ASD, learning difficulties, and behavioral disorders, as well as those who have experienced trauma. Your engagement will be essential in empowering these students and fostering a safe, nurturing environment conducive to their growth and learning.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Colorado.

Preferred Experience\n

While we require a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preference will be given to candidates with direct experience in a special education setting or those familiar with the unique challenges faced by students in such environments. Experience with group therapy and crisis management will also be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
