Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and insightful trauma-informed mental health assessments to discern patients' trauma histories, which will inform appropriate treatment plans.

• Develop individualized treatment strategies tailored specifically to the recovery journey of each patient, focusing on resilience-building and healing from trauma.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient progress.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients explore and process their traumas while developing effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care that addresses both psychological and psychiatric needs.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring timely assistance and guidance to clients in distress.

• Engage patients and their families in educational discussions about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, empowering them with knowledge and resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation as per legal and ethical standards in mental health practices.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education sessions focused on advancements in trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will primarily work with individuals affected by various forms of trauma, including those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. This population often experiences a range of emotional challenges, and your role is to facilitate their healing process through targeted therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid state licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT is essential for this role.

• A strong foundational understanding of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills accompanied by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations, demonstrating resilience as you support clients.

Preferred Experience\n

Though not required, a preference will be given to candidates with at least two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, particularly in trauma-focused care. Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions will be highly valued.
