Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews, accurately documenting case details from initial consultations through to completion of treatment.

• Assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health to identify challenges and tailor suitable interventions.
\n
• Develop individualized, couples, family, and group treatment plans focused on addressing the unique needs of each client.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and supportive individual and group therapy sessions that promote healing and personal growth.
\n
• Monitor and evaluate client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans in real-time.
\n
• Work collaboratively with a network of healthcare providers, including other mental health specialists, physicians, and social workers, to ensure cohesive care.

• Maintain communication with psychiatrists and attending physicians for any clients requiring inpatient services.
\n
• Identify and mitigate any behaviors or barriers that impede a client’s recovery process.
\n
• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our diverse clientele includes individuals from various age groups and backgrounds who are facing a range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. The role requires sensitivity and adaptability while providing care to clients with different needs and cultural perspectives, ensuring that treatment plans respect and integrate their unique experiences and values.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong foundational knowledge of mental health principles, interventions, and ethics.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working as a mental health counselor within a telehealth framework is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to document and track client progress effectively.

• A solid understanding of addiction disorders and the intersection of physical and emotional health issues.

• Awareness of best practices established by professional organizations such as the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure effective interaction with clients and colleagues.

• Strong interpersonal skills characterized by empathy and a caring demeanor.

Compensation and Benefits\n
