Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to effectively evaluate patients' trauma histories and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate recovery.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, employing various techniques that help clients process their trauma and develop effective coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrative and holistic care, ensuring that each client receives a comprehensive treatment approach.

• Provide crisis intervention services when necessary, equipping clients with immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, available therapeutic resources, and effective coping strategies to bolster their understanding and engagement in the recovery process.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring that client records are up-to-date.

• Engage in regular team meetings, case consultations, and professional development workshops, focusing on trauma-informed care and the latest research in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including survivors of abuse, combat veterans, and those facing psychological distress resulting from life-altering events. Your approach will emphasize creating a safe therapeutic space that fosters trust and collaboration, encouraging clients on their paths to healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a relevant mental health setting.

• Solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating compassion and a non-judgmental approach when working with patients.

• Ability to function effectively under pressure and maintain composure in high-stress situations.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n
