Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, including reviewing medical histories and performing diagnostic assessments to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Communicate evaluation findings and treatment strategies effectively with patients and their families, involving them in goal-setting to ensure alignment with their rehabilitation objectives.
• Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation outcomes, patient presentations, and adjustments necessary for evolving healthcare requirements.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, recognizing and responding to changes in a patient's condition.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and promptly, including initial evaluations, daily progress notes, and discharge summaries, to maintain effective patient records and ensure continuity of care.
• Manage your schedule efficiently, meeting productivity targets, and participate in community outreach initiatives to promote healthcare access.
• Engage in professional development through ongoing education opportunities, serving as a mentor or clinical instructor to students and new therapists.
• Champion patient experience by offering flexible scheduling options and ensuring accessibility to care services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will be on orthopedic patients of all ages who require rehabilitation following surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. You will engage with individuals in different settings, adapting therapeutic approaches to their unique environments to foster healing and enhance mobility.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• A valid CPR certification to ensure safety protocols are upheld.
• A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is required, familiarity with home care settings and an understanding of community health dynamics will be considered advantages. Experience with innovative treatment methodologies and patient engagement strategies will enhance your application.

Compensation and Benefits
