Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual counseling sessions via secure video chat, developing therapeutic relationships aimed at improving clients' mental health.
• Assist clients in exploring their emotions and experiences, fostering self-awareness and deeper insights into their behaviors and relationships.
• Serve as an advocate for clients, guiding them in setting and reaching personalized mental health goals.
• Evaluate each client’s mental health status to create, implement, and review treatment plans that are tailored to their needs using evidence-based methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice independently in California as either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Strong interpersonal skills coupled with a sympathetic and empathetic nature are essential for effectively engaging clients.
• Competence with technology is necessary, as you will utilize various platforms for client interactions and administrative tasks.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a remote counseling role is advantageous but not required.
• Familiarity with solution-focused therapy techniques is preferred.
• Experience working with low-acuity mental health clients or within an outpatient setting is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000, reflecting the high value placed on ethical, dedicated mental health care.
