This full-time, remote position involves providing expert mental health care with a particular focus on individuals affected by trauma. Work Environment

This remote position provides flexibility in your work location while still ensuring that you are part of a close-knit team environment. While we primarily function in a virtual setting, we maintain a strong sense of community through regular video meetings, case consultations, and team-building activities. Our office hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility surrounding scheduling to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history, contributing to precise identification of their unique treatment needs.
• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans that center on trauma recovery and resilience-building, tailored to the specific challenges faced by each patient.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and nurture healing processes.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure an integrated, holistic approach to each patient’s mental health care.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring safety and care for patients in distress.
• Educate patients and their families about traumatic responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to promote awareness and empower self-care.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in line with legal and organizational standards to ensure compliance and high-quality patient care.
• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and continued professional development focused on trauma-informed care methodologies.
• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance therapeutic effectiveness and stay at the forefront of the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will entail working closely with a diverse clientele, particularly survivors of trauma who may be grappling with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is essential.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience, demonstrating competence in trauma-informed care is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and experience delivering trauma-focused therapies greatly enhance your suitability for this role.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor, facilitating effective connections with patients.
• The ability to maintain tranquility in high-stress situations and provide calm, supportive interventions.
• Proficient use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications for documentation and patient management.
• A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

Experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and a strong working knowledge of trauma-informed treatment modalities can set you apart as the ideal candidate. Your background will allow you to effectively address the needs of trauma survivors and implement best practices in therapeutic settings.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
