Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor with Great Lake Health & Wellness, you will have a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Maintaining a caseload of clients, ensuring the establishment of rapport and a therapeutic alliance, while adhering to professional ethics and boundaries.

• Conducting regular sessions with clients to assess their progress, stability, and readiness for discharge when appropriate.
\n
• Designing, executing, and monitoring individualized treatment plans that are centered around the unique needs and goals of each client.
\n
• Documenting treatment progress and maintaining accurate records in compliance with organizational and legal standards.
\n
• Conducting intake assessments to determine the mental health needs of clients and recommend appropriate treatment options.
\n
• Facilitating individual therapy sessions weekly, ensuring that therapeutic techniques are tailored to each client’s requirements.
\n
• Engaging in individual supervision to discuss case management and personal professional development.
\n
• Collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure holistic care for clients and engaging in community resources as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on youth clients who are experiencing a range of mental health challenges. You will be responsible for providing empathetic support as they navigate issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral difficulties. Understanding the unique needs of this population will be essential in developing effective treatment strategies that empower our young clients to achieve stability and foster resilience.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required; a Master’s Degree in mental health is preferred.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut.

• Ability to meet internal credentialing requirements in clinical settings.

Preferred Experience\n
