Pain Management Nurse Practitioner - Full-Time Position

Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite at our clinic located within a school setting in Somerset, NJ. Our clinic is designed to meet the diverse needs of our patients, promoting a safe and comforting atmosphere where they can feel secure discussing their pain management challenges. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments including taking comprehensive patient histories and performing physical examinations to accurately identify the causes and levels of pain.
• Craft and implement tailored treatment plans that reflect the individual needs of each patient, considering their unique backgrounds and health conditions.
• Utilize a variety of pain management techniques such as medication management, interventional procedures, and holistic approaches including physical therapy referrals and alternative therapies.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly, ensuring the highest level of care and patient satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and outcomes in our electronic health record (EHR) system.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients suffering from chronic pain, many of whom may come from underserved communities. You will work closely with individuals of all ages, helping to manage conditions that significantly impact their daily quality of life. Qualifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner certification and a valid state nursing license.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience is required, ideally in a community health or pain management setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, with a proven ability to engage effectively with diverse patient populations.
• Demonstrated dedication to social justice and health advocacy, particularly for marginalized groups.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in pain management or specialty clinics is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment protocols and pain management methodologies.
• Experience working with interprofessional teams to deliver comprehensive care.

Compensation and Benefits
