Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Therapist at Millennial Counseling Centre, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' psychological well-being and trauma history.

• Creating individualized treatment plans tailored specifically to each client's unique needs, focusing on recovery and resilience.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate effective healing.

• Leading both individual and group therapy sessions that empower clients to express their trauma-related concerns and develop coping mechanisms.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and mental health professionals, to ensure holistic care for our clients.

• Providing crisis intervention support and guidance during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients receive immediate assistance when needed.

• Educating clients and their families on the effects of trauma, coping strategies, and available community resources.

• Maintaining thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Participating in team meetings, case discussions, and continuing education to stay informed on the latest practices and trends in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele primarily consists of individuals who have experienced trauma and are seeking specialized support to help them navigate their healing journeys. They may present with diverse conditions, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other stress-related disorders. Your role as a therapist is to foster a therapeutic alliance that enables clients to feel safe, understood, and actively involved in their treatment process.

Qualifications\n

We are looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in New Jersey as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT is mandatory.

• A deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed care practices.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, allowing for a compassionate and empathetic therapeutic approach to treatment.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with telehealth technology.
