Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial client assessments through virtual meetings to determine mental health status and needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and the unique requirements of each client.

• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, utilizing various modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques.

• Monitor and evaluate clients’ progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.

• Provide referrals and collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed, ensuring comprehensive care for clients.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment progress through an electronic health record (EHR) system.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Life Journey Psychotherapy Center, you will engage with a wide spectrum of client backgrounds, addressing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, eating disorders, and trauma-related conditions. Our telehealth model is particularly beneficial for clients who may face barriers to in-person therapy, including those living in remote areas or those with mobility challenges. You will play a pivotal role in creating a safe space for clients to express their feelings and work towards healing.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of four years of related experience in the mental health field.

• A strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches, alongside cultural competence in providing therapy.

• Experience in conducting individual and group therapy with a focus on inclusive practices.

• Exceptional crisis intervention skills and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

• Proficient in managing EHR systems and other computer applications to streamline service delivery.

• Commitment to ethical practice, maintaining client confidentiality, and upholding professional boundaries.

• Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience with specific therapeutic modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, or integration of mindfulness practices into therapy sessions will be advantageous. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and techniques will also be beneficial as we strive to optimize the client experience in a remote setting.
