In this role, you will provide compassionate mental health support to individuals who have experienced trauma, ensuring that their care is tailored to promote healing and resilience.

Work Environment\n

This position operates in a telehealth setting, allowing for flexibility and adaptability in delivering mental health services. As a remote team member, you will engage with clients through secure video conferencing platforms, obtaining the skills necessary to facilitate meaningful therapeutic interactions from a distance. The work schedule typically runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though flexibility may be required based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient's trauma history.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery while leveraging evidence-based interventions.

• Implement therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) tailored to patients' specific situations.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to aid patients in processing their experiences, developing coping strategies, and fostering resilience and growth.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated care that addresses both mental and physical health needs.

• Provide timely crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients receive immediate assistance.

• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation in adherence with legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring confidentiality and integrity in patient records.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings to foster a collaborative approach to client care.

• Commit to ongoing professional development by staying informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to support individuals who have encountered trauma, including those diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will work closely with clients from diverse backgrounds, adapting therapeutic approaches to meet their unique cultural, emotional, and situational needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as either an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience working with trauma-focused therapies is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
