Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments of patients to identify their functional capabilities and rehabilitation needs, employing techniques such as interviews, observations, and standardized assessments.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, focusing on improving mobility, strength, and overall function.
• Administer hands-on therapy techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation, to alleviate pain and enhance healing.
• Educate patients on their conditions and the rehabilitation process, instructing them on exercises and techniques to perform both in the clinic and at home.
• Regularly assess patient progress and adjust treatment protocols as necessary, maintaining clear communication with patients and their families regarding treatment advancements.
• Document all patient interactions accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and regulations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to collaborate on patient care and discuss progress, treatments, and modifications as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. You'll work closely with a diverse population, including athletes, active adults, and elderly patients. Being attentive to their individual rehabilitation goals and challenges is crucial for fostering trust and maximizing recovery potential.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey, demonstrating your qualification and commitment to practicing within the state.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, showcasing your ability to manage a caseload effectively.
• Proven proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a solid understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation practices.
• Experience using EMR systems such as WebPT, equipping you with the skills necessary for efficient patient documentation and data management.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
