Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop personalized therapy strategies that cater to the unique needs of each client.
• Provide a range of therapeutic services including individual therapy, group therapy, family counseling, and couples therapy, utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care that addresses the multifaceted needs of clients.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Participate in ongoing workshops, training, and professional development sessions to stay informed of the latest mental health research and methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Marina Insight, we primarily serve individuals and families who have limited access to mental health resources. Our client base may include those experiencing diverse mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and other psychological challenges. Your role as a counselor will directly contribute to improving their emotional and psychological well-being, promoting recovery and resilience.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as an Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Psychologist in the state of Washington.
• A minimum of two years of practical counseling experience within a clinical context.
• Demonstrable knowledge of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster positive therapeutic relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Specialized training or certifications in family therapy, couple’s therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance abuse treatment.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations and familiarity with community resources available for mental health support.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and telehealth technology.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive annual salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
