Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Directing physical therapy treatments to prevent disability, relieve pain, improve muscle function, and restore maximum performance in accordance with individualized care plans.
• Overseeing the implementation of therapy plans by physical therapy assistants, ensuring all procedures are executed as per established protocols.
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients' functional abilities using diagnostic tests to guide effective treatment planning.
• Assessing the home environment and making recommendations aiming to enhance the patient's independence in daily activities.
• Providing on-site physical therapy services as prescribed by physicians, including administering therapeutic exercises, massage, and physical agent modalities.
• Fitting, evaluating, and adjusting orthotic and prosthetic devices in collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Participating actively in interdisciplinary case conferences, contributing insights and suggestions for optimized patient care.
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation, including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries to ensure continuity of care.
• Regularly reporting on patient's progress and making necessary recommendations to physicians and case managers.
• Instructing patients and families on therapy devices and overall treatment strategies while ensuring their understanding and engagement in the rehabilitation process.
• Submitting timely documentation and orders in compliance with branch policies and ensuring all records are current and accurate.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population consists primarily of individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic illnesses who require tailored rehabilitation programs. Therapists will engage with diverse patients, ranging from young adults to seniors, catering to their unique recovery needs and personal goals while fostering a compassionate and supportive therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid license to practice physical therapy in Florida and current CPR certification.
• Strong clinical skills in both acute care and home care settings, with a commitment to patient-centered care.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to apply clinical judgment and make informed decisions that impact patient care.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of physical therapy experience is required, we value creative thinkers who demonstrate innovative problem-solving skills in clinical practice. Experience in rehabilitation settings, particularly in outpatient or home health environments, will be highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits
