Work Environment

This role is based onsite in our comfortable treatment facility in Stockton, California. Our workplace fosters a collaborative atmosphere among a small team consisting of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand patients' healthcare goals and develop individualized treatment plans that are tailored to their specific needs.
• Manage a patient load of one patient per hour, delivering focused and effective therapy sessions that maximize recovery outcomes.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities, while ensuring the implementation of evidence-based practices.
• Document each patient's progress meticulously in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their recovery process, emphasizing self-management strategies and the importance of adherence to treatment regimens.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and rehabilitation specialists, to optimize patient care and improve interdisciplinary communication.
• Continuously evaluate treatment effectiveness, adjusting strategies based on patient response and feedback.
• Educate patients on injury prevention techniques, healthy lifestyle choices, and wellness programs to sustain long-term health benefits.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse client base of individuals requiring orthopedic rehabilitation services. Many of our patients seek help for post-surgical recovery, sports-related injuries, and chronic conditions that impact their mobility. Your expertise in developing tailored interventions will directly influence their capability to regain active and fulfilling lifestyles.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Washington, D.C., with a clean record demonstrating no disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in evidence-based practice methodologies and techniques.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Competence in manual therapy techniques and tailored exercise regimen development.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, to streamline patient documentation and care coordination.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for the Orthopedic Physical Therapist position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 per year.
