Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Pediatric Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Performing thorough evaluations to assess patient conditions and create tailored treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other health professionals.
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to improve mobility, strength, and functionality for children with diverse orthopedic needs.
• Documenting patient progress accurately and engaging in regular assessments to ensure alignment with the treatment goals.
• Delivering skilled therapeutic interventions not only in our facility but also in the homes of our patients, using individualized strategies to enhance recovery.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to utilize a holistic approach in patient care, focusing on maximizing outcomes through proven methodologies.
• Providing education and resources to patients and their caregivers, ensuring they understand the treatment process and how to support ongoing recovery.
• Meeting or exceeding minimum utilization metrics and maintaining adherence to organizational business objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with children facing orthopedic challenges, including those recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• A current State License for Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, paired with proficiency in technology and documentation systems.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
