Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Pediatric Physical Therapist at Little Hands, your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Assessing and diagnosing patient conditions through comprehensive evaluations, providing a foundation for tailored treatment plans.
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions aimed at improving function and mobility, such as utilizing manual therapy techniques and exercise prescriptions.
• Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, including physicians and occupational therapists, to streamline patient care and maximize outcomes.
• Educating and training patients and their caregivers on treatment protocols, ensuring they have a clear understanding of their recovery process.
• Tracking and documenting patient progress meticulously, meeting or exceeding minimum utilization goals and other business objectives.
• Providing exemplary customer service that strengthens relationships with patients and their families, resulting in enhanced treatment experiences.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The focus of your practice will be on pediatric patients with various orthopedic needs. You will have the opportunity to work with children who may have experienced sports-related injuries, developmental delays, or post-operative orthopedic conditions. Utilizing a compassionate approach, you will address not only their physical needs but also offer emotional support to both patients and their families, fostering a caring therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you should possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, complemented by proficiency in word processing and basic computer applications.
• A dedication to developing meaningful relationships with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience
