Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement physical therapy treatment plans focused on preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' functional abilities using various diagnostic and prognostic tests.
• Oversee and guide the work of physical therapy assistants to ensure effective and accurate implementation of established care plans.
• Check and assess the home environment of clients for rehabilitation purposes, making recommendations to promote independence.
• Administer treatments such as manual therapeutic exercises, traction, massage, and the application of physical agents.
• Evaluate, fit, and modify prosthetic and orthotic devices, coordinating with physicians for any necessary adjustments.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, following all documentation requirements.
• Participate actively in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and treatment plans.
• Instruct clients and their families on the correct use and care of physical therapy devices and the overall therapeutic process.
• Complete functional assessments and revisions of the plan of care, ensuring alignment with client goals and community resources.
