Work Environment

This position is based onsite, where you will work in a supportive collaborative environment alongside two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). Serving primarily patients with private insurance, our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art therapeutic equipment and features a spacious 5000 square feet dedicated to sports medicine and rehabilitation. The practice is located in Chantilly, VA, a region known for its community-oriented focus and easy access to various health and wellness resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical health to identify their specific needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Manage a consistent caseload, averaging one patient per hour, to ensure individualized attention and effective treatment delivery.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate various therapeutic techniques aimed at improving patients' mobility and independence.
• Utilize cost-effective methods to enhance range of motion and accelerate recovery while minimizing the need for medications or surgical interventions.
• Provide ongoing motivation and encouragement to patients, ensuring they remain engaged and committed to their rehabilitation journey.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans meticulously, maintaining transparency and continuity of care.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals across disciplines to design integrated care strategies that align with each patient's specific needs.
• Monitor, evaluate, and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary to achieve predefined health goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation and injury recovery. The diverse patient demographics you will encounter may range from athletes requiring sport-specific recovery strategies to older adults looking to regain functionality in daily activities. Our commitment to personalized care means that each patient will receive a tailored approach that respects their unique challenges and recovery timelines.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• A clean professional record with no past disciplinary actions or violations is mandatory.
• Strong manual therapy skills and a solid understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation techniques.
• Proficiency in creating and executing customized exercise protocols that promote physical recovery and wellness.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with using WebPT EMR Software for documentation and patient management.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually.
