Start Fit Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) to join our dynamic team in Chantilly, Virginia. Work Environment

This role involves providing services onsite at patients' homes throughout the Chantilly area. Home care offers a unique practice environment, allowing you to implement individualized treatment plans while interacting closely with patients in their personal spaces. You will work approximately 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, with flexible scheduling options to accommodate both practitioner and patient needs. The collaborative nature of our team ensures that you will receive support and ongoing communication about patient progress and treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, safe, and compassionate patient care by evaluating and treating individuals in their home environments.
• Assess patient needs and develop tailored treatment programs grounded in evidence-based practices, modifying plans as needed based on ongoing evaluations.
• Conduct thorough evaluations, including detailed reviews of patients' medical histories, performance assessments, and documentation of recommendations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including initial evaluations, treatment progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with state and federal health regulations.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, caregivers, and insurance providers, to facilitate comprehensive care and address patient needs.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training, including adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
• Contribute to departmental meetings and share insights to improve patient care protocols and clinical practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients consist primarily of individuals dealing with various orthopedic conditions, including post-operative recovery, injury rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. You will work with diverse age groups, tailoring your approach to accommodate the specific needs and goals of each individual, and utilizing therapeutic exercise, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to enhance recovery and functionality.

Qualifications

• A graduate of an accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
• Active physical therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, particularly in home care or orthopedic physical therapy, is preferred. We value candidates who have demonstrated the ability to create effective treatment plans and have experience working with patients in a home-based care model.

Compensation and Benefits
