Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our modern rehabilitation facility where we foster a collaborative and supportive work culture. You will be part of a small, skilled team of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA) who are committed to providing exceptional care. Our facility is equipped with advanced therapeutic equipment and technology, ensuring you have the resources necessary for delivering effective treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' goals and needs, and develop individualized treatment plans that align with these objectives.
• Provide hands-on therapy to 2-3 patients per hour, utilizing a variety of treatment techniques aimed at improving motion and mobility.
• Implement cost-effective treatment options that reduce reliance on medications and provide alternatives to surgical interventions.
• Design and implement fitness-oriented programs focused on enhancing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Regularly evaluate and document patient progress, making necessary adjustments to care plans as needed.
• Motivate patients throughout their treatment journey to achieve optimal functionality and health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and sports-related conditions. The clientele includes a mix of adults and potentially adolescents who are seeking to regain their strength and mobility in a supportive environment. Our emphasis on personalized care allows you to make a significant impact on the lives of your patients, guiding them through the rehabilitation process to achieve their personal best.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• A valid Physical Therapist License in the state of Virginia, with no board actions or disciplinary records.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in therapeutic exercise methodologies.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to effectively manage patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

We seek candidates with a minimum of two years of pertinent experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting. Your background should include hands-on practice dealing with various orthopedic conditions, allowing you to provide top-tier care that facilitates swift recovery and promotes the well-being of your patients.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
